ArtPrize
ArtPrize is an open, independently organized international art competition which takes place for 19 days every other fall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. $250,000 in prizes are awarded by smartphone-enabled public vote, including a $200,000 grand prize.
Any artist working in any medium from anywhere in the world can participate. Art is exhibited throughout downtown Grand Rapids—museums, bars, public parks, restaurants, theaters, hotels, bridges, laundromats, auto body shops, vacant storefronts and office spaces.
Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff
The Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff is a juried show featuring fine arts and crafts in St. Joseph, MI. Occurring once per year in July, the show features 200+ artists in varied mediums.
Whitelake Area Arts Festival
More than 70 talented and creative artists participate in this very popular juried art show from 10:00 am to 5:00pm on Saturday and from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday. Those attending can purchase a variety of hand-made art and crafts such as jewelry, wood furniture, birdhouses, ceramics, items for the garden, clothing, paintings and prints, folk art, leather goods, floral designs, stained glass, signs, children’s toys, and bath items. Adding to the weekend is a great line-up of musicians offering a wide array of music, inflatable obstacle course and jump house, and food trucks with a variety of delicious specialties!
Old Town Art Fair
The Old Town Art Fair takes place on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13, 2021 in the heart of the charming Old Town Triangle Historic District. There will be 250 nationally acclaimed artists, an estimated 30,000 art lovers, a Garden Walk, Live Music, Food Court and Children’s Corner. Gates open Saturday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, rain or shine.
57th St Art Fair
Held every year on the first full weekend in June, the 57th Street Art Fair is a two-day outdoor celebration of the visual arts held in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, adjacent to the University of Chicago campus and the home of President Barack Obama. Artists and art lovers reunite at Chicago's oldest juried art fair in the Midwest, featuring the work of up to 200 exhibitors. Most are returning artists, but each year between 50 and 75 new exhibitors are invited to participate by a jury made up of collectors, critics, curators and artists.
